The term covers the know-how and tools to import/export and compare addresses in a computerized and secure way. The process gives a match, almost match and skip all the addresses that are not the same.
Addresses can be exported from existing systems and imported into imported into the Washing program. During the import process all addresses are compared to existing addresses, and the imported addresses are sorted into 3 different categories:
- Unique addresses
- Double addresses, this indicates that two ore more addresses are so much alike that the system determines that these addresses are the same.
- Maybe double addresses, addresses in this category are so much alike that they can be the same, but the computer can not determine with a 100% certainty that they are the same.
An easy and user-friendly interface gives the options of determining what addresses are the same and what are not. When the address has been imported once, the same address are not put into Double or Maybe categories. All new address, which are imported, that looks like an existing address will popup in the interface, for sorting to the right Main address.
The controling of parameters and weight on comparing values, can be set for each import source, the program reads from. |
